  This is a local restaurant.  The red awnings and green trim looked like a fun thing to try in the early morning light.  It got pretty involved for a 5x7 but I'm happy with it.  The food was good too.

Hans 7x5

  Hans Christian Andersen  (1802-1875),  Danish author famous for his children's fairy tales.  Apparently he had quite a profile as well.

Backwater Ringnecks 7x10 - sold (prints available)

  This painting was selected to be used for the 2012 Michigan Duck Stamp.  It depicts a pair of Ringneck Ducks.  Money raised from stamp and print sales will help fund that state's waterfowl management programs. Printing has been completed and the original painting is for sale.

Old Friend 20x14 - sold

  I have spent countless cold mornings and stormy days huddled around old wood stoves; this is one of them.  You can always count on them cut the chill and dry your clothes.
